N&T's Legal Tech in association with Unity P.G. & Law College hosted the inaugural International Virtual Moot Court Competition. With the world grappling with the challenges of a pandemic, this virtual event, themed "Law and Technology", provided a unique and enriching platform for law students to showcase their legal acumen

About

International Collaboration: Held on the 3rd and 4th of October 2020, the event marked a collaboration of legal minds from around the globe, focusing on the pivotal and ever-evolving nexus between law and technology.

Innovative Platform: Conducted virtually via Zoom, the competition allowed participants to engage in high-calibre legal debates and arguments in a safe and accessible format.

 

Participation and Rules

Exclusive Opportunity: The competition was open to institutions offering undergraduate LL.B. degree courses, with a limit of one team per institution to ensure a diverse representation of ideas and skills.

Team Dynamics: Each participating team comprised two members, tasked with eloquently delivering their arguments in English, the official language of the event.

Seamless Registration: Teams registered through a dedicated Google Form, with a nominal fee, ensuring a smooth entry process into the competition

Awards and Recognition

Lucrative Prizes

The competition offered significant monetary awards, including £50.97 for the winning team and £30.58 for the runners-up, along with additional prizes for the Best Mooter and the team with the Best Memorials, each valued at £15.29.

Certifications and Discounts:

 All participants received certificates of participation, and thanks to our media partner, Katcheri, participants were eligible for discounts on KATOG's online courses and the JLSR journal's publication fee.
